This fulfilment is manifested in two ways: Firstly by approaching kashrut from a cross-communal educational manner, that is, to teach students about Kashrut and the different ways in which our wider community keeps kashrut. And secondly, to allow student from across the wider community to feel comfortable at the school in terms of our level of kashrut.

A healthy debate among educational leaders exists on the subject of when and how to
introduce children to the subject of the Holocaust. Some maintain that children should learn
this material unsimplified without glossing over any of its difficulties. Others contend that it is

others advocate an approach of “preliminary” education about themes that will prepare
children to encounter the Holocaust more fully in middle and high school.
