JCRIF Grant Intake Form

JCRIF Grant Program Intake Form

Background

The JCRIF funders have asked intermediary organizations such as Prizmah to work with their constituents on grant proposals in areas that conceptualize and enable sector-wide change and provide sector or network-wide support for immediate, emerging needs that result from the COVID-19 crisis. Based on our initial discussions with the funders, successful grants will be those that come from consortiums or other collaborative efforts among schools and/or school intermediaries.

Based on early feedback from thefunders and conversations with the field, Prizmah has identified four key impact areas for collaborative grant proposals. They include:

Strategic Planning - which include, but are not limited to, scenario planning, re-imagining school models (including teaching and learning) and re-imagining the constellation of schools (including consolidations and mergers).

Professional Development - providing teacher support and training for working in a virtual environment, coaching for teachers, and a focus on mental health.

Finance - Income affordability and alternative tuition models, financial modeling, new and/or alternative staffing models.

Admissions and Marketing - providing support and training for admission and marketing professionals, enrollment and admission planning, value proposition and making the case for choosing Jewish day school.

These are some of the areas that could benefit from collaborative efforts and might be scalable throughout the day school field. The following intake form will be used to gauge your school’s or community’s interest in working in one or more of these areas (or other areas which can propose) as well any expertise or past experience that you have in these areas.
