Torah and Tinkering: Integrating STEM/STEAM and Makerspace with Jewish Studies, held on November 29, 2017, shared the work of Dr. Alexis Soffler at Charles E. Smith JDS and Shana Gutterman from Martin J. Gottlieb Day School. Alexis and Shana shared challenges and success of building such programs at their schools, as well as addressing some of the elements of school culture that lead to high-level cross-curricular integration. They also shared examples of specific projects to set ideas in motion. The overarching goal of this webinar was to build community around the practices of integrating STEAM/STEM and Makerspaces with Jewish Studies.
