what it is

The Head of School Professional Excellence Program (HOSPEP) is a year-long program that offers intensive one-on-one coaching and support to new and emerging heads of school.

how does hospep work

Each week, you will have the chance to meet with your coach. In addition, you will meet with a cohort of other new heads once a month to share dilemmas of practice. You will engage in two in-person learning convenings both at the beginning of the summer—before your new job begins and in March at the 2019 Prizmah Conference in Atlanta. In addition, there are 6 online modules geared toward you and your professional team and a Board Self-Assessment with results.

who is right for hospep

If you are a Head of School in your first three years, then HOSPEP was created just for you. Whether you have a coach in mind or want us to help you find the best match, HOSPEP will combine the cohort model of learning with one-on-one coaching to best help you succeed in your new headship.

why hospep

We at Prizmah believe that strong schools need strong leaders. We also know that leaders are made not born; it takes a lot of work and self-reflection to become a great leader. This comprehensive program is geared toward helping new heads bring their best and supporting them in this transition.

The HOSPEP program is generously funded with a grant from The AVI CHAI Foundation. The cost to each participant is $10,000 plus the cost of travel.

“My HOSPEP coach was my lifeline this year. I’m not sure I would have made it past the first month without her constant, good counsel.”
