In the aftermath of October 7, when Miami saw an influx of Israeli families seeking refuge from the war, CMAD once again demonstrated its commitment to collaboration and community support.
The network was the first to propose and implement a comprehensive spreadsheet to log the names of families inquiring about spaces in local day schools, including the ages of the children and the families' contact information. This quick and organized response ensured that all the Israeli children who wanted one found a place in our Jewish day schools, highlighting the network’s ability to adapt and respond to crises. This initiative not only provided essential support to families in need but also reinforced the importance of a unified approach in addressing community challenges.
