Strong board members are the partners every community needs to build successful Jewish day schools and Prizmah is committed to supporting lay leaders in their vital roles. Join a free series of four virtual training sessions (and Prizmah’s in-person conference!) designed to address your leadership questions and enhance your skills. These sessions offer valuable insights and practical guidance tailored to the unique challenges you face as a day school board member. Leave feeling inspired and empowered as you continue to lead your school community with passion and purpose.

Overview

Session 1: September 24, 2024 - How to Set Board Goals and Practices that Drive Success
As you start the new school year, how can you use the time with your board to maximize your success? In this session, explore creating shared understanding between board members, effective goal setting strategies, and using goals to drive meeting agendas.

Session 2: December 5, 2024 - Marketing Your School
Marketing involves so much more than advertising. What’s the best way for lay leaders to get the right message out to the right audience? Coordinating the marketing effort can help your school gain notice from both prospective families and prospective funders, too.

SAVE THE DATE: Prizmah Conference - In person February 2-4 in Boston
Join us in Boston for the largest gathering of Jewish day school professionals and lay leaders from communities across North America. At the Prizmah Conference, participate in special sessions just for lay leaders and day school investors. Build connections, learn what’s working in other schools and communities, and share what makes your school special.

Session 3: March 4, 2025 - Fearless Fundraising for Every Board Member
Fundraising is much more than just asking for a donation. Every board member has a role to play in building relationships, identifying prospects, and stewarding donors. Identify the ways you and your board can contribute to your school’s fundraising program. Bonus: for those willing to make the ask, a simple formula for solicitations that work.

Session 4: May 19, 2025 - Incorporating Affordability Models in Your Tuition Setting
Expanding the models for affordability is one of the key ingredients to driving enrollment growth. In recent years, more and more successful affordability initiatives have helped school communities across North America grow, and there are so many key lessons for school’s to take away from these initiatives. Dive deeper into understanding the steps to take and data to collect to craft an affordability model that works for your school and community.
