Rabbi Alan Berkowitz is the Principal of Magen David Yeshivah (MDY) Elementary School, in Brooklyn, NY. His prior positions in Jewish education include serving as the Headmaster of the Ramaz Lower School, Assistant Headmaster of the Greenfield Hebrew Academy of Atlanta, and Assistant Educational Director of the Fuchs Mizrachi School in Cleveland. He has taught at the elementary, high school, and college levels and has considerable experience in adult education as well. He is currently a member of the Advisory Board of the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Principals Center. Rabbi Berkowitz is a musmach of Yeshivat Hamivtar and has an additional smicha from Rabbi Zalman Nechemia Goldberg. He holds a MEd. in Educational Administration from Cleveland State University.
